MK Dons v Tranmere Rovers Match Discussion
By Deadly Submarine
November 1 2008
For those who are unable to go to the game against MK Dons later today, here is your platform for discussing the events of the night whether it be the Rovers match itself or any other happenings in Coca-Cola League One that affect Tranmere in any way.
MK Dons Match Discussion Thread

At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can.  One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.

As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be providing Match Discussion Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.

Tranmere are of course playing away at Milton Keynes Dons later today but if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on?

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.  Or why not post the line-ups or anything else you can think of.

Why not also use this facility to discuss other games and scores that kick-off at 7.45pm which may or may not have an effect on Tranmere too.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Bit surprised by this:

thought he would of gone edds LB, Shotton CB and kept Kay CM. Never seen either of them play for everyone seems to rate Holmes.

Is Cresswell a better prospect?

For me, Holmes is a better player than Aaron, stronger physically and better in the air, but Aaron was outstanding today. He is a huge potential and for me MUST start on Tuesday night against Morecambe. Seeing Ronnie have faith in him to start him was excellent and too see them have the belief in Aaron to take free-kicks was great too.

Superb performance Aaron, keep it up. Next up Ronnie, play Gornell and Holmes!

From a Dons perspective. Thought you guys brought a good number of fans but were one of the quietest lot we have had at MK (apart from the group near the bottom of the away stand).

I can see why you have only conceeded one in six. Your back four are a tight and organised unit and you defend all the way up the pitch.

But as to deserving a point..! I think its disappointing that your manager and team came for a point. In my view it was very negative and you paid the price. I am biaised by always think the attacking side deserves the win for at least trying to score

To be fair though MK hardly did enough to deserve to win the game either. Hard to tell who the home side were at times.

we controlled the game at times though.

if we had kept savage on we could have won that game.

the substitutions where very very poor, edds should hae come off for sonko and greeenacre on for moore.

but considering we had no goodison and no taylor we played really well

finally barnett got his start and he was excellent hes a real footballer somebody we needed in midfield
