Saturday sees Rovers on the road again as they face a tough trip north to face Carlisle United at Brunton Park.  On the back of their last two away results, Rovers will be confident of getting a good result but the 4-3 home defeat to Colchester United last Friday night will perhaps have dampened the spirits a little.

That defeat, Rovers second at home already this season, halted the momentum they had gained from the two previously mentioned away results at Huddersfield and Peterborough but with the fans behind them, there is no reason why Rovers can't repeat their 1-0 victory last season at Brunton Park when Craig Curran was on the score sheet.

A 2-0 home win against the Cumbrians on Boxing Day last year ensured a double over United for the season with Paul McLaren and Antony Kay on target in the first half which also saw most of Chris Shuker's season come to an end after just nine minutes when he was stretchered off with a serious knee injury from which is still recovering in terms of re-gaining a first team place.

After a five game unbeaten start to the season, Carlisle have since their last three matches in League One albeit against sides that all currently occupy the top six places just ahead of Carlisle themselves.

2-1 defeats away at Scunthorpe and Walsall sandwiched a 2-0 home defeat to Leeds United having previously scored ten goals in their opening three home League One matches before the visit of Gary McAllister's men.

Tranmere are yet to either win or lose two games on the trot in the League this season but with the last result being a draw, there is scope for that run to continue either way but fingers will be crossed that it will be a positive result for Ronnie and the boys.

If you are making the trip north to see the game then make sure you create the same wonderful atmosphere that we witnessed last season and spur the boys on to victory.
