Yesterday, manager Ronnie Moore gave his pre-match views ahead of tonights home game against Accrington Stanley. The Rovers manager brings the team news and tells of his ambitions to manage Tranmere in the final of this trophy at Wembley, later this season.
Ronnie told Tranmere World...
"The Johnstone's Paint Trophy is a competition we'd love to win. When you enter a competition you do so wanting to win it, regardless of what it is. Everybody in League One and Two has a great opportunity of getting to Wembley and we want to achieve that.
"I want a day out at Wembley where you can get dressed up and lead your team out onto the pitch. People say the competition can get in the way, that you can pick up injuries and suspensions in it, but for me, players are better off playing games than training. I went to the old Wembley as a coach and a player, and there's nothing better."

"Antwi has a ligament injury on his ankle and he's going to be out for at least a fortnight. Goodison is on international duty and will miss both the Accrington game and the Oldham game and Edds has done brilliantly for us at right back but has picked up a groin injury, so he won't be available.
"We've got to get on with it. We've brought Ryan Shotton in on loan, and I've just got to make up my mind whether we play him at right back or at centre back, because he can play both positions. I've also got Luke Waterfall who I can use, and Antony Kay can play right back and centre back. I don't want to move too many players around, so there's a bit of thought to go into what team to pick for Tuesday. It may be that we'll have to play two young kids on Tuesday and Saturday."
