Ronnie Moore was full of praise for his side following the 4-1 home win over Northampton Town this afternoon despite going a goal down early on in the game. Goals from Bas Savage, Antony Kay and Craig Curran got Rovers in 3-1 up at half-time before Ian Moore added a late and deserved fourth goal.

Ronnie Moore was full of praise for his side as they came back from 1-0 down early on to win relatively comfortably 4-1 win at Prenton Park this afternoon.

Ronnie Moore told the Tranmere Rovers Official Website..............

"I thought we were the best side by a mile.  We gave them a goal but even then we didn't panic.  We were brilliant.  The passing and movement was great and I couldn't fault the work ethic all over the park."

"If anything we're disappointed it was only four.  I thought Bas was brilliant. That's the standard he has set and he has to produce it every week.  Him and Craig worked hard up there, and they had to as the pressure is on as we've got Greenacre and Moore who can come on."

"Shukes looked like he needed a game but I'm pleased he got it.  We changed the shape as we thought they would be a bit suspect in the full back positions.  We've gambled on getting our wide men in behind them and I thought it worked quite well."

"I thought that was the system for today and it worked.  What we play on Tuesday will be a different matter."
