Manager's son Ian returned to Tranmere in January 2008 after almost 11 years away from the Club.

Having played for Rovers from 1994 to 1997 including a loan spell at Bradford City, Moore Jnr left Prenton Park in March 1997 for Nottingham Forest for a £1million fee.

After a loan spell at West Ham United, further big money moves followed to Stockport (£800,000) and then Burnley (£1million) before a £50,000 move to Leeds United in March 2005.

After two full seasons at Elland Road, Moore joined Hartlepool in the summer of 2007 and netted nine times in 28 appearances before deciding that the travel from his home in Warrington to Hartlepool was too much.

As a result his dad Ronnie, decided to bring him back to Prenton Park as Gareth Taylor left for Doncaster Rovers at the same time.
