Defender Godwin Antwi signed for Tranmere in July on loan from Liverpool initially until January 2009.

The 20 year-old was born in Ghana but holds a Spanish passport and spent the 2007-08 season on loan last League One rivals Hartlepool United where he played 33 games and scored once.

After coming through the youth ranks at Spanish side Real Zaragoza, Antwi then joined Liverpool in August 2005 and was part of their FA Youth Cup winning side in 2006 before going out on loan to Accrington Stanley in March 2007 where he made nine appearances.
