Tranmere Youth Side Continue with Welsh Games
By Deadly Submarine
July 14 2008
As well the already announced pre-season campaign for the first team squad, Tranmere’s youth side will be continuing to make short trips across the border to North Wales to play friendly matches against Welsh sides. Here we bring you the dates of the previously unannounced games.

Following on from the 1-1 draw with Holyhead Hotspur last Friday night, Tranmere's youth team will make a further three confirmed trips to North Wales in July and August as part of their own pre-season preparations.

Last week's match against Holyhead was the furthest of the four trips to Wales with the games getting gradually closer to home as the new season approaches.

The next of the four games, all of which take place on Wednesday evenings, sees the youngsters travel to Colwyn Bay before then facing Prestatyn Town and finally Flint Town United over the course of the next few weeks.

For those Rovers fans based in North Wales or even for those based on the Wirral, it's a great opportunity to see the future of the Club in action in pre-season.

The dates of the games are as follows.....

Wednesday 23rd July - Colwyn Bay (A) - Kick-Off 7.00pm

Wednesday 30th July - Prestatyn Town (A) - Kick Off 7.00pm

Wednesday 6th August - Flint Town United (A) - Kick Off 7.00pm

If you are planning on travelling to any of these matches why not arrange a car share via our Message Forum?

Is anyone going to the Colwyn Bay game? I live in Colwyn Bay so will probably go to that one, anyone else thinking of going?

I might be but Wednesday's are awkward for me.

If I don't go to Heswall this week I will probably go to Colwyn Bay next week if you fancy meeting up Stanj?

As I say, I'll try and get to two of them, whichever is best for people on here really so I can go with Dave/Mike/Coop etc. and the North Wales clan. In fact I might drive to them if anybody wants a lift!

Matt, I'm thinking of going Colwyn Bay and Flint out of the the three but was thinking that if you wanted to drive to mine and Park, I could then drive from mine up to the Bay so the driving is shared?

We can discuss this on Friday anyway mate!

I'm taking a full car with Deadly_Submarine and Coop off this site joining me as well as another mate of mine who doesn't use this board, although he does sometimes use ONIGP. Would you like to meet up StanJ?

Is the Ground in Old Colwyn mate? If so we will probably go straight there rather than into Colwyn Bay but that's up to the Driver (Matt) really.
