Just a week after the fixtures were released for League One, Rovers have already had one home game moved to a Friday night and if the past few seasons are any indication, it may be the first of a few matches to be re-scheduled to a Friday night instead of the Saturday afternoon.

As expected, Tranmere's home game against Colchester United which was originally scheduled for Saturday 27th September has now been moved forward to Friday 26th September due to the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton at Goodison Park that weekend.

The game will now kick off at 7.45pm on the Friday night meaning a rather inconvenient long trip north on a week night for fans of the U's.

Any further fixture changes from the list released last Monday will be announced here as and when we get them with a couple more Friday night matches seeming likely during the course of the season.

I bet the Colchester Fans are delighted at this news!

A long away trip on a Friday night lol.

i think the year before last we had about 9, then last year i think we had about 5. the numbers are dropping sad smiley
