Another day sees the announcement of yet another friendly for Tranmere as the pre-season schedule for Ronnie Moore's men begins to take shape.

The latest game to be confirmed will come as no surprise to Rovers fans as they are set to face what has in recent years become an annual pre-season trip to Christie Park to face League Two side Morecambe FC.

An arrangement that probably stemmed originally from former Morecambe Boss Jimmy Harvey's Tranmere connections, the game will be played this year on Saturday 26th July as oppose to the usual midweek fixture arrangement.

As announced yesterday, Tranmere are once again set to travel to Marine in pre-season with the date of the game now being confirmed by Marine FC as Saturday 19th July at 3.00pm and Simon Grayson's Blackpool side will visit Prenton Park for a friendly on Saturday 2nd August (Kick-Off 3.00pm), which is just a week before the new season is set to kick-off.

Rovers begin the pre-season campaign by travelling the short distance to face Cammell Laird FC at Kirklands on Saturday 12th July with kick-off at 3.00pm.

Blackpool Will Visit Prenton Park in Pre-Season

Total Tranmere can also confirm that Rovers are set to play pre-season games, possibly involving the Reserve and Youth Team players in North Wales with trips to Flint, Colwyn Bay and Buckley Town all planned for the pre-season campaign.

This has been backed up with reports that a Rovers Reserve/Youth Team will travel to Anglesey in North Wales to face Holyhead Hotspur on Saturday 12th July (the same day as the friendly against Cammel Laird) and will also reportedly face Prestatyn Town on Wednesday 30th July at 7.45pm.

It is also believed that Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore has approached no fewer than five Premiership Clubs in Liverpool, Everton, Bolton, Manchester City and newly promoted Stoke City with a view to a home friendly against one or more of them and we are led to believe that Bolton have agreed to visit Prenton Park although this has yet to be confirmed.

We will confirm each friendly game as news of them comes in so keep checking back as we update the Pre-Season Diary here on Total Tranmere!
