After two weeks of voting, the winner of our April Player of the Month Award has been confirmed and the deserved winner for this month is defender/midfielder Antony Kay taking the plaudits for some excellent performances as the season drew to a sluggish end ten days ago.

Antony Kay is April’s Player of the Month
After two weeks of voting, the results of our latest site poll have been confirmed and you have named Antony Kay as you Tranmere Player of the Month for April.
Kay played in all four Rovers games during the month of April, scoring against Southend United in the final home game of the season, but despite not scooping any of the Man of the Match Awards from Total Tranmere's Match Reporters, you thought he was the main man in April and who are we to argue with that choice?

As you can see the votes were widely spread with every player getting at least one vote. This meant that despite only polling just short of 25% of the votes, Kay was a comfortable winner with the ever dependable Robbie Stockdale his nearest challenger, getting 16% of the votes.
A reminder for you to vote in our latest site poll in which we ask you who is the worst Rovers Goalkeeper out of Gavin Ward or Steve Wilson, which is running for the next two weeks.

The Team's results reflected that but Kay was the pick of the bunch it would seem from the results!

There was no real outstanding player in the month. Its not as if we had good results, losing 5 of the last 6 matches thats deflected our attention from the players to the sad faces after results.
