Stockdale and Mullin Off as Rovers Release Four
Despite nothing being confirmed by Tranmere Rovers themselves, local media is reporting that the Club have released two senior players and two youngsters yesterday.
Robbie Stockdale, who signed for Rovers when Ronnie Moore took over two seasons ago has reportedly been released and if rumours are to be believed he is heading for the Scottish Premier League to play for Aberdeen.

Also gone is midfielder John Mullin who has struggled this season with injuries and failed to break into the first team, making just a handful of appearances, mainly from the substitute's bench.
Young players Mike Jones and Michael Johnstone are reported to have been released with Jones, like Mullin having mostly made substitute appearances this season after returning from a loan spell at Shrewsbury last season.
With a left-back (Shane Sherriff) having played at left midfield for much of the season in the absence of Steve Davies, it has come as a surprise to Rovers fans to see Jones's first team chances still limited.
Michael Johnstone, who has never played for the first team at Tranmere, is something of a surprise release after a hugely successful loan spell at Welsh Premier League side Bangor City this season where he won two trophies, helped the North Wales side into Europe and scooped the Welsh League's Player of the Season Award.
Total Tranmere would like to wish all four players the best of luck for the future and thank them for their time at the Club but what of the other players still out of contract?

Jennings and Davies - Future's in Doubt?
It's been rumoured that both Steven Jennings and Steve Davies have rejected new contract offers and are leaving the Club whilst offers remain on the table for Paul McLaren and Shane Sherriff with Paul McLaren the key player Tranmere need to keep after his performances this season.
How the players that have left will be replaced remains to be seen but Ronnie Moore is believed to highly rate young defender Danny Holmes who may be lined up for the right back berth and Antony Kay can also play there if required.
It could be that Ronnie Moore has a replacement for Stockdale already lined up and that will become clear in the coming weeks.
As for John Mullin, his place can be filled by Adnan Ahmed if he stays fit for long enough and it is of course possible that Jennison Myrie-Williams may sign permanently to replace Mike Jones as a winger option.
Paul Henry has also been offered another year and will be another midfield option in place of John Mullin.
Finally of course, Ronnie Moore's contract is up too and his future is still unclear although reports now suggest that he will be staying next season.
We will bring you more transfer and contract news as we get it so stay tuned to Total Tranmere in the next few weeks.
