Ronnie Moore – “That’s Why We’re Not in the Play-Offs”
After Rovers lost their final game of the season at Northampton Town on Saturday, Ronnie Moore criticised the referee Gavin Ward but also gave an honest assessment of his teams performance both in this game and over the course of the season.
He told Tranmere World.............
"That's probably why we're not in the Play Offs. We've just got to improve on the away form. There was nothing in the game, but you can't give away the goal we did. We were chasing the game early on but we got ourselves back in with a good goal from Greeny. But then we didn't pick up properly from the corner."
"I don't like criticising referees but he had a nightmare today. Some of the decisions he made...The linesman got involved in the sending off for adopting an aggressive attitude. What's that all about? The lad is whacking Ian and trying to get the ball when he's trying to let it go out."

"Surely common sense should be used there and just have a chat to them. He looked miles out of his depth, but that doesn't take away from our performance."
"The whole thing about today was coming here and winning so no-one takes our spot. It's disappointing. We need to be in the top six and in the Play Offs. We've got to get away from the lack of discipline and the soft touch away from home. We'll always pick up points at home."
Ronnie Moore's comments first appeared on Tranmere World through the Official Tranmere Rovers Website.
