In his Monday press conference, Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore admitted his side have fallen a number of goals short of success this season but insisted that plans are already in place for next season.
Speaking to Tranmere World, Moore said..............
"We've got two games and we want to finish as high as we can. We want to finish well, there's no doubt about that. We knew the three games we've had this month would be tough, but we've been the best side three times and lost, that's the frustrating thing."
"Like I said on Saturday, we've fallen twelve goals short of the results that would have taken us into the Play Offs, and mainly away from home. You can't score 19 goals away from home, that really needs to be addressed. Last year we were too adventurous away from home, this season we've been too conservative."
"We need to score more from set plays, because we do work hard at them. Without doubt we're closer than we were 12 months ago. The squad of players we've got, when everyone is fit, is as good as anybody's. We've just not had the rub of the green. We've had too many players sent off. It's so important that players are disciplined."

Steve Davies - One of Nine Players Out of Contract
"We've got to look to finish as high as we can. Southend will be coming here with hopes of automatic promotion, so they'll want to win. We've got to be up and at them. We don't want to end the season with five defeats. We want to beat Southend and finish on a high in our last home game."
"We've got nine players out of contract, five of them senior players. We've spoken to the agents and we are still talking to them. We're also looking at players for next year in case players we've offered contracts don't take them. We've sat down and had a look at the players who are available and we're making phone calls."
