Dave Wilson

Midfielder

YOUTH - Wilson 1

An ever improving player, Dave Wilson is a winger capable of playing on either the right or left, whilst he has also played in the hole behind the striker during pre-season 2008.

Over the past 18-months [up to August 2008], Wilson has never consistently been involved with the reserves, mainly due to indifferent performances, resulting in the winger being in and out of the team, but by summer 2008, Wilson has really begun to show his true potential as a football.

Blessed with plenty of pace, Wilson is an incredibly skilful and intricate performer, quite capable of beating any full-back and with the ability to split defences wide open with passes and crosses.

Despite being reasonably small, Wilson is also a very strong player, whilst a low centre of gravity definitely helps him skip past his man.

Perhaps Wilson's most impressive performance to date for the reserves came in the pre-season 3-1 defeat to Prestatyn, when the youngster put in a Man of the Match performance for a young Tranmere side, scoring Rovers only goal in the match.
