Josh MacAughley

Striker

A strong striker, Josh MacAughley is a second year scholar who has worked very well in the reserve team with Terry Gornell, who signed his first professional contract with the club in June 2008, over the last 18-months.

Ridiculously powerful for his age, MacAughley is a more than useful target man who will always weigh in with a fair amount of goals, scored with both his head and feet, whilst he is very good at holding the ball up.

Capable of scoring spectacular goals, MacAughley is incredibly quick, most probably the quickest player in the youth team, and because of this, the striker finds it easy to beat defenders for pace, whilst shrugging men off also comes easily for MacAughley.

In the 2007/08 season, MacAughley was the youth teams leading scorer, netting 14 goals in all competitions, and outscoring Gornell in the process, whilst he also bagged one goal for the reserves.
