Rovers longing serving player, John is this year in his testimonial year with the Club after ten years service.

With a playing contract for one more year, this could be the Dutch goalkeeper's final season as a player and he will once again be the understudy to Danny Coyne.

Signed by John Aldridge in September 1998 from Dutch side Utrecht, John is a firm fan's favourite and despite spending almost two seasons out through injury he has now made over 300 appearances for the Club.

John's first-team appearances last season were limited to just six, with five in the League and one in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Morecambe at Prenton Park.

As ever, John will be raring to get back into action this season and is likely to push his old adversary Danny Coyne all the way next season once again.
