A regular in the reserve side in recent seasons, Danny Holmes signed his first professional contract in June 2007 when he penned a one-year deal and has since extended that deal with a view to breaking into the first team this season.

Holmes has impressed in pre-season for Rovers after spending three months of last season gaining match experience on loan at Southport and with the departure this summer of regular right-back Robbie Stockdale, the chance is there for Danny to make his name.
