Danny Coyne re-joined Rovers in the summer of 2007 after an eight year spell elsewhere since first leaving the Club in 1999,

During the 90's Coyne made over 100 appearances in goal for Tranmere before a four season spell at Grimsby Town until 2003.   It was in the summer of that year that Coyne was handed the opportunity to play Premiership football with Leicester City, an opportunity he was he took.

However after making just one League appearance for the Foxes that season, Coyne moved back to the North West the following summer when he agreed to join Championship side Burnley.

He made 43 appearances for the Turf Moor Club in three seasons before being released this summer and subsequently returning to Prenton Park as Number One.
