Croydon Athletic Ladies 0-16 Chelsea Ladies
By More Than A Woman

Its been a long time since this site has provided news on Chelsea Ladies Football Club. The last article was way back in August when the Ladies lost to Arsenal Ladies 2-0.

Seems though this is a section that doesnt have a lot of interest, but we will give it a go to try and update you with the fortunes of the Chelsea Ladies (although I have to warn you it isn't the best reading).

Off we go. Firstly the managership of Chelsea Ladies has changed. The girls are under the temporary charge of Shaun Gore who is also in charge of Chelsea in the Community. Since Shaun has been in charge, the Ladies results have picked up somewhat.

They have beaten Birmingham Ladies away, 4-2 and have drawn against Fulham Ladies away 2-2. Last weekend in the Surrey Cup 1st Round the Ladies absolutely slaughtered Croydon Athletic Ladies away, 16-0. Yes 16-0. Again 16-0 LOL.

Since the Arsenal Ladies defeat way back in August, Chelsea Ladies lost five out of the next six matches. The defeats were against Charlton Ladies Home, 2-1, Everton Ladies Away 5-0, Fulham Ladies Home, 2-0, Bristol City Ladies Home 5-3 (1st Round League) and Doncaster Belles Ladies Home 2-1. Only an away draw at Sunderland Ladies 1-1 stopped the rot.

Subsequent to the bad run and the defeat to the Doncaster Belles, Chelsea Ladies manager George Michaelas stepped down and Chelsea's Football in the Community Director Shaun Gore took up temporary stewardship and since then Chelsea Ladies are unbeaten in three matches.

The Ladies are at home to Bristol Academy tomorrow and ALL home games are played at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC, Beveree Stadium, Beaver Close, Hampton. Middlesex, TW12 2BX.

Kick off 2pm
