Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Give it until Christmas and I think Mr A is going to have to dig deep into his everlasting big money pockets and re-lay the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
Because if the trend continues from away teams 'parking the team coach in the penalty area' then those tyre tracks are going to get really really DEEP.

Before I got into the ground I saw the 'Pool's' formation and it was set at 4-5-1 even with the likes of Kewell and Alonso being asked to play in a defensive capacity.

Chelsea do make it hard for themselves to break down these type of defensive formations but the magic moment came in the 64th minute from a yet again Frank Lampard free-kick played along the ground into the penalty at the MH end of the ground and a sweet flick from Joey Cole beat Kirkland at his left hand post. A quality goal in a quality moment from an undoubtedly good Chelsea team. Gallas and Duff down the left caused Liverpool no end of problems, crosses being pinged in, but with the absence of Drogba due to injury midway through the 1st half, these forays down the left became wasted and so it was left to the magical and showboating champion Joe Cole to fire in the only goal to give Chelsea three deserved points. And Liverpool - well they got what they deserved NOTHING!!!
