Everton Preview: Last Day - Finally!!

COME ON CHELSEA

Finally at last The Fat One is leaving. At a few minutes to six this evening the Fat One can pick up his hat and coat, board the bus from the Fulham Road and ride off into the sunset (via America). November seems a fair distance away now since The Fat One took over the job – the job he once said ‘He would never take,’ and now finally, the ‘hardcore’ can celebrate The Fat One’s departure and then sit back and wait for confirmation of ‘The Special One’s return.

A Chelsea win will confirm third place but any other score/result elsewhere could land Chelsea into the realms of all sorts of permutations.

4th place and having to qualify for Champions League outright OR a play-off against Arsenal next weekend at Villa Park for that lucrative automatic entry.

As pointed out by my youngest yesterday and it is a fair point, why bother with the play-off scenario at all, the authorities should look at the head-to head.

Chelsea have beaten Arsenal TWICE this season. 2-1 at The Emirates and 2-1 at The Bridge.

Job done, Champions League here we come. Simples!

‘Captain, Leader, Legend, One England Captain’ JT is out along with Eden Hazard and Ryan Bertrand.

Everton have nothing to play for. They have cemented their top six finish and will finish above their arch rivals Liverpool again, but with David Moyes in charge for the very last time before he moves to The Theatre of Dreams, Everton will try to make sure Moyes’ last game is a winning one.
