JT, ‘Captain, Leader, Legend’ ‘One England Captain’ has come out and blasted his team for ‘not trying’ against Brentford on Sunday lunchtime. He said, “Even though it’s great to be back personally, I was disappointed with the game at Brentford because we didn’t fight and they wanted it more. It was disappointing being so lacklustre after not scoring in the two legs of a semi-final against Swansea. I would rather we lost 4-0 and given it a go – but we didn’t do that.”

JT continued , “So we need to liven up a bit and realise how important this is to the fans. Last season we suffered with all the extra games involved in winning the Champions League and ended up finishing sixth in the league. But Champions League is a must for this club next season.

“We’re playing a lot of games and things are difficult. But we have a squad and it’s down to the players to come in and do well when the team is rotated.

“We should be winning games against Brentford and now we’ve made it difficult for ourselves by having to play a replay. It’s another game we could have done without.”

Kick-off for the Brentford replay has been set at 12 noon on Sunday 17th February 2013.

Petr Cech and David Luiz are still out injured. Mikel and Moses have progressed further in the ACN after Victor’s two goals, both from penalties, saw Nigeria overcome Ethiopia last night.

Chelsea have progressed to the next stage of the Next Gen series after a 3-3 draw away to Ajax yesterday and Chelsea will now play Barcelona away in the next round.

Jack Butland has TURNED down the chance to join Chelsea as he wants regular first-team football.

Gary Cahill is set for his 50th Chelsea appearance tonight should The Portly One pick him.
