After dropping Ashley Cole, Michael Essien and Super Frank for the midweek debacle in Naples, he then re-instates them for the very comfortable 3-0 win against Bolton on Saturday, what does he do now? Especially as all of the papers were full of Mr A's 'so-called' phone call on the morning of the match!
The starting XI for Satruday's trip to The Baggies will be very interesting indeed!!
The victory on Saturday was very comfortable.
So comfortable that down in the bar areas of the Matthew Harding Lower at half-time, I heard a dozen people or so call 'training session' in their response to the first 45 minutes.
Within a couple of minutes of the re-start, Sideshow Bob a.k.a David Luiz tore of the shackles, broke free from his 'dubious' centre-half position and strode easily into Bolton's half, avoiding tackles that ref Michael Oliver did well to let go, before curling a low shot into the bottom lef-hand corner of Bogdan's net.
Luiz just doesn't score easy goals, He scores both brilliant and important goals and his goal on Saturday was brilliant and very important.
There is no doubt Luiz is a very good and talented footballer, but he just cannot defend as he proved against Napoli last week.
Luiz's strike laid the catalyst for Bolton's collapse and if it wasn't for Bogdan and the crossbar, Chelsea could have easily had five or six.
As it was, Chelsea had to settle for three when Drogba headed in Chelsea's second and Super Frank volleyed in Chelsea's third at the far post.
To complete a magnificent week for the U18s after their memorable FA Youth Cup win at Nottingham Forest last Wednesday, more or less the spine of the team travelled to play Arsenal on Saturday morning.
New signing Patrick Bamford scored the winner in the 3-2 victory and this came.... Yes you have guessed it.... after Chelsea trailed 2-1 at half-time.
