Daniel Sturridge finally signs for Chelsea

Long term Arnesen target, Daniel Sturridge, has been signed today from Manchester City on a four-year contract. Sturridge had refused to sign a new contract at City after an economic disagreement - leaving Chelsea to step-in.

The fee was set by a tribunal after the two clubs were unable to reach an agreement.  Chelsea were offering 3m with City requiring at least 10m for the 19-year-old – Sky report that the fee is around 5m.

Daniel Sturridge, Manchester City

Sturridge began his football career at Aston Villa before moving on to Coventry and then eventually settling in City’s youth set-up.

He broke into the first team under Eriksson before Hughes took over, more recently scoring four in 10 starts of 26 appearances.

Now he will join up with the first team squad for pre-season next week.

So the Ego has landed, dont get to exited about this badly advised self important fool.
Guess you will suss him out soon enough but not a team player by any standard and lazy to boot.
Primma Donna big style and will only play if 110 % fit.
We will not miss him there are at least 3 as good if not better coming up behind him at MCFC but without the baggage of advisors working in thier interest not the players.
