Di Matteo to take charge at the Hawthorns
By dixon9
June 30 2009
Former Chelsea midfielder Roberto Di Matteo has been appointed coach of recently relegated West Bromwich Albion. The Italian had attracted attention from the Birmingham club’s suits after carrying out an excellent job at MK Dons.

Di Matteo has put his money where his mouth is by agreeing to sign a 12-month rolling contract and inherits a side that have been well drilled in playing attractive football.

Chelsea fans will no doubt wish Di Matteo all the best at West Brom and the story could now take on an extra twist should he take advantage of his Stamford Bridge contacts and seek to take Chelsea reserve players on loan.

Who knows where he might end up one day?!
