Malouda signs two-year contract extension

A much improved in form Florent Malouda has signed a two-year extension to his current contract at Chelsea according to L´Equipe. The Guyanese left-winger revealed that he has put pen-to-paper at the Bridge therefore giving him a further four seasons at Chelsea.
“I have reached an agreement with my club to prolong my two year old contract so I will be at Chelsea for a further four-year period,” said Malouda.

I know that during every transfer window I am the subject of bad rumours but I am happy at Chelsea and hoped to sign an extension.”

So, does this have any repercussions with regard to moves for Frank “I don’t like the weather in England” Ribery or Yuri “I prefer Barcelona” Zhirkov?  I wouldn’t have thought so.  If anything, Chelsea seem to be looking to strengthen on that side of the field.

At the later stages of the season he was our best player by far and if he can play at that level next season which i`m sure he can then i think himself and Chelsea are in for a good season.
