FA Cup Final: Everton 1-2 Chelsea: Ancelotti Leaves AC Milan

GUSSSSSSSSSSS

In the last couple of hours or so it has been confirmed that Ancelotti and AC Milan have parted company by mutual consent. Peter Kenyon said after Chelsea's 5th FA Cup Final win that an announcement about Chelsea's new coach will be made as soon as possible. Michael Ballack has signed a one year extension on his contract. Looks like Ancelotti is on his way.

Ancelotti said, "In agreement with the club we have decided to terminate the contract a year early.

"My wonderful experience with this side ends today. I thank all the players, directors, fans and everyone involved.

"I think it ends in the right way and is probably the right choice for both of us. The respect and affection remains with all the people who over the years participated in this adventure."

Asked about moving to Chelsea, Ancelotti refused to be drawn. He said, "I can't say anything official. I have not made any agreement with any other club."

Anyway enough of that. I want Hiddink to stay, I know he can't he is committed to Russia and Mr A cannot be drawn into trying to get Hiddink to stay - conflict of interest!?! But we can dream......

For a few hours leading up to the Final yesterday, they didn't go to well. I couldn't find my KING OF STAMFORD BRIDGE OSSIE badge (I am as superstitious as a highly paid professional footballer, my badge is like gold), the bus took forever to get to the station, the train into London trundled and the tubes were packed solid.

A couple of hours break, soaking up the sun and the pleasant atmosphere, the last cigarette or three and into Wembley I went, up the escalators and into my high altitude seat and off went.

Who would have thought twenty-five seconds into the game, Chelsea would be one down and Robbie's Wembley record being smashed and demolished into thousands of pieces. A quick goal was needed to open up the game  but OMG not that bloody quick.

At least Chelsea had 89 minutes and 35 seconds to recover, and to their credit and with HUSS patrolling the techincal area, Chelsea recovered and did it in some style.

Drogba equalised with a towering header and Super Frank hit a screamer with his left foot. Florent Maluoda who was magnificent should have won Goal of the Season, but the fat bald Assistant Referee couldn't keep up with play and therefore couldn't award a definite goal.

The ball was yards over the line you 'BALD HEADED ****.'

Ashley Cole was man of the match and he said after the game, 'I am with my REAL friends' and lastly I wonder if Guus got fined for smoking his cigar in a public place whilst dancing in the changing room with Malouda, Didier, Obi Mikel and the rest.

Nice way to end the season - especially after the Barcelona match corruption.

Really pleased for the squad and of course, for Guus. Yes it is a great shame Guus can´t stay on but it looks like we have to welcome the new man. I´m not convinced about Ancelotti but once he is confirmed then he should get full support.

Great response from the team after going down so quickly. Drogba´s trademark header and Lampards great left-footer.

As you say, Malouda deserved that goal - would have and should have been one of the greatest cup final goals.

...and Lampard did not dive - the replay actually showed it was a pen.

These days, we are getting used to decisions in important matches going against us that we almost just shrug our shoulders now!

It would have been a amazing send off for Hiddink also.
