In another quirk of time and it proves how quick time is against us, Carlo Cudicini left Chelsea on Monday to join rivals Tottingham Hotspur.
It just doesn't seem possible that Carlo spent ten years with the Blues. I don't blame him for leaving after all he his a professional footballer and a footballer needs to play football, but Tottingham?
Carlo, undoubtedly THE 2nd best 'keeper in the Premiership, joined Chelsea for a mere snip at £160,000 from Italian club Castel Di Sangro and altogether made a total of 210 appearances and kept a total of 101 clean sheets. Although Carlo was a member of Mourinho's successive title winning squads, Carlo didn't receive title medals because he hadn't played the required amount of games and to deprive a consumate professional two pinnacles of his career is nothing short of disgraceful. Carlo takes away with him from his time at Chelsea - two FA Cup winners medals, two FA Community Shield winners medals, one UEFA Champions League runners-up medal, one FA Cup runners-up medal, two Community Shield runner-up medals and although Carlo hasn't had the chance to say goodbye to the fans, he can take away the thanks and gratitude for his services, efforts and total professionalism. There are so many wonderful memories of Carlo's performances, too many to be listed here but I will always remember his last-minute save at Tottingham last season in the 4-4 draw and Carlo would always be my 'keeper to come out on top in any penalty shoot-out. Every time a game looked to be heading for a penalty shoot-out and there have been a fair few in recent years, which Chelsea have lost, I would always shout, 'BRING ON CARLO.' Carlo had a wonderful 50% penalty save rate during his time at Chelsea. Enjoy these Carlo saves, once again

Remember the goal he let in at Highbury a few seasons ago. Low cross, went straight under him for Henry to tap in to give us a 2-1 win
