Getting Back on the Saddle AGAIN

No sooner had we got back on the saddle after the Sunderland win, we fell of it again during the week against Roma, how it happened I really don't know. For 34 minutes we were the better team. After reporting back to training on Thursday, JT has these words to say. He said "We didn't start well and gave Roma a lift."

Well if we don't start well against Blackburn later on today, then we will be in trouble.

In the past Blackburn have been our 'bogey' team, recent results at Ewood Park prove that Chelsea now have the upper hand.

Last season we won up there 1-0 with Joey scoring in the first half and we lost Cechie boy in the second-half and within minutes of Hilario coming on, he made a brilliant save to secure Chelsea the three points.

Prior to that victory we had won five out of the last six. Although Mark Hughes has changed the colour of blue, Paul Ince is no mug.

His Blackburn side may not play the 'physical' football that Blackburn have been renowned for, they still do have the 'physical' players.

JT continued his assessment of Tuesday night's disaster, he said "We had plenty of possession but we didn't really go anywhere.

"Roma's line-up wasn't very attacking and things have been difficult for them at home with their fans and the pressure was on them and their manager.

"They hadn't won for two months and we gave them the perfect start by not getting out of first gear, It confidence they needed."

JT thanked the fans who travelled to Rome and said, "Apologies to the fans, it was a great turnout and sorry for the result."

Well JT and the rest of the squad. You know how many 'Chelsea' travel away and whilst you spent a comfortable night in your expensive hotel last night, fans would have been up and about at 4am this morning sorting themselves to get to Ewood Park for the 'silly o'clock' kick off at 1.30pm.

OK you may have to eat pasta and potatoes at nine or ten o'clock this morning but you had the later lie-in -however we have got it better than you - Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Beans, Mushrooms, Hash Browns and a beer or two.

COME ON CHELSEA!!

Getting Back on the Saddle AGAIN

Back in the saddle again indeed! Let´s hope it´s not Blazing Saddles afterwards, with us sat round the camp fire farting on the beans we had for breakfast!

Roma, as JT said, was a kick up the woolwich for us but today we have a chance to retain first place in the league and hopefully put in a decent, solid performance on the way.

As you say, Ince is no mug and I noticed him praising us up in the week - can´t help feeling he´s going to get his boys really fired up for this.

Blackburn away is normally a very very tough game and I´m expecting no different this time around. They will no doubt be very physical and I just hope we don´t pick up any more knocks.

The key is to score quickly so that they have to open up although what are our strike options? Drogba is probably 75% fit at best although I wouldn´t be surprised if we have to switch to a 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 later with Anelka.

Who will start? Drogba or Anelka?

Going to be a tough, interesting match.

Add Miniero and Stoch to the bench.
