Mijatovic will probably offer a five-year deal worth £2.5m a year for the first two seasons and then rising to £3.5m for the following 3 years (It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Real Madrid are banking on signing Ronaldo next season and could well send Robinho off to Manchester anyway – so the offer isn’t as good as it might first appear).

Manager Bernd Schuster, has made it clear that he wants to keep the player but he also stated that he’s “the last to know what’s going on” when it comes to transfers!

Scolari appears calm about possible transfers and has also commented that he’s pleased with the material he’s got for the moment:

"If we add player A, player B or player C, then great," he said. "But I have good players with quality already."

The Brazilian can play out wide or through the middle but Chelsea fans feel cautious about signing Robinho (many are still burnt over the disappointment of Shevchenko) whilst others feel that we need an out and out flair player – which in general we’ve nearly always had at the Bridge since the swaggering team of the 70´s (I count myself in the latter group). 

News just in (What you mean some bloke on Chelsea Chat just told you?! - Ed): Chelsea are preparing a £25m swoop for Werder Bremen's Brazilian midfielder Diego.  This is probably both a Plan B and a further way of piling the pressure on Robinho and his agent to make their minds up sharpish!
