No Point Going Again Till Chelsea Get Rid of Grant
By Since66 April 15 2008
And now to the main ingredient of last night's main course. Whilst a certain Argentinian was covering himself in glory over in East London for the reserves, I am afraid that our coach Avram Grant completely emptied a boat of gravy right over his head. Whether the gravy was hot or cold I am not really bothered.

The sooner the 'idiot' goes the happier I will be.

After last night's debacle again surrounding 'gravy boat's' man team selection, I am not going to Stamford Bridge again until THAT man is removed from his current post.

Here are my reasons why. Following the Fenerbache game, the players were given a couple of days off and why not? Wigan were our next opponents last night and although we have to travel to Everton on Thursday night..... our next game isn't until the 22nd April which is another five days when we face Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield.

My point is.. the likes of Didier Drogba, Joe Cole, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Shevchenko, Carvalho, Ashley Cole (no disrespect to Wayne Bridge), Ferreira etc can play in the BIG games because they want to play in the BIG games and last night at Stamford Bridge - Wigan WAS a BIG game.

Where was Didier Drogba? OUT. Where was Joe Cole? ON THE BENCH. Where was SWP? ON THE BENCH. Where was Sheva? ON THE BENCH and used in the last 30 seconds, once Wigan had equalised deep into injury-time- WHOOPY DOOPY DOOO!!

Where was Carvalho? OUT. Where was Ashley Cole? OUT. Where was Paulo Ferreira? PLAYING FOR THE RESERVES AGAINST TOTTENHAM!!

http://i32.tinypic.com/23wp9h5.gif

My point is the above-named players are USED to be playing three times a week. They did at their previous clubs and they do when they go on International duty.

So what is the difference between playing on a Tuesday night one week, then on Monday night the second week, then on a Thursday and then play again on a Tuesday in the third week.

Four games in fourteen days, with loads of rest.... WHOOPY DOOPY DOOO!! Wish I could work like that. I don't. I work hard like millions of others in the World for a fraction of what players and coaches get paid!!

I am not having a go at the players, its the coach I am having a go at. If he thinks that we can still win the title with the likes of Malouda starting any game then I might as well take over and give it a go - at least I got Chelsea in my blood.

Last night was crying out for Didier and Anelka in a 4-4-2 because of the way Wigan would play and surely Chelsea would have expected to them to play and what did Wigan play, they played a formation that a Chelsea 4-4-2 would have broken down.

Wigan came and played for a point and whether or not they deserved it, they still got a point.

Although Chelsea lost Super Frank to illness minutes before kick-off, Essien was moved from right-back and Belletti slotting in, on paper the team should have won and without the brilliance of Wigan's Chris Kirkland we would have done, but you cannot legislate for an opposition goalkeeper to have one of those 'brilliant' nights!!

How many of those nights 'Since 66,' have I seen?

As the first-half came to an end Chelsea created nothing and it wasn't until Joe Cole came on at the start of the second-half the Blues finally swung into life.

Why oh why does Grant need to wait until HE NEEDS a big gun?

Why can't start Grant start the BIG GUNS get the goals and then swap about with substitutions?

I am so fed up with Grant's '1-0s' and against 'Boro two weeks ago we got away with it.

Last night we didn't, and to Grant I say farewell.

The sooner you go, the sooner I go back to the Bridge.

At least with Jose's 1-0s you knew where you stood.

Quite right Since 66.

The idea of resting some players for the Everton game which the PL and Sky kindly forced on us would normally have some merit...BUT not this time.

Most of then rested players have nowhere near played a long season because of the injuries which hit us earlier in the season - these players would be more than capable of coping with the forthcoming run of matches. To rest them was unnecessary and frivilous.

When I saw the line-up I thought "Oh no! Whatīs he doing now?!" We needed those 3 points - nothing should have been left to chance.

I cannot believe that some or most of the squad, staff and board donīt know that Grant isnīt the man for Chelsea - hopefully Roman is seeing the light and he wants to get rid of certian meddling advisors pronto.

Last Sunday I got me ticket for the Liverpool CL's home game - although it hasn't arrived I have given it away.

As for the Man Utd game - I swallowed watching their reserve team get applauded on the pitch - aint doing that again!!

As for the Bolton game - seen them get relegated before when Jody Morris scored a last minute winner.

since 66 absolutely right...just thinking of the 4 miserable painful draws with goals conceded at the death that cost us the title...think of the manager this way

vs. everton 1-1: unlucky manager
vs. aston villa 4-4: very unlucky manager
vs. spurs: 4-4: lousy manager
vs. wigan: 1-1: donkey manager...............

end of the day AG get out of CFC for the good of our club and the good of football!!!!!

VERY GOOD ARTICLE

This fat rat has never been capable for this job. He makes stupid mistakes that cost us a lot! Mourinho would have never let this happen.

And the only thing this muppet has got to say is ''this is football''. Even my feckin grandma knows that this is football. But explain us why the feck you don't deliver what you promised you feckin idiot. Where is the attractive, sexy football?! I don't see it. At least Mourinho won us silverware.

Grant doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath with Mourinho. He deceived the best manager we've ever had and now he tears our club part...

Obviously I will renew my season ticket for 2008/09 and if I dont go, assuming Grant is still there, I know it will be well received by someone else.

Somehow I think I will be at Stamford Bridge for the first home game next season........

Does Avram Grant not know the elementary rules of the game ?
When you are leading & there are but a couple of minutes to go, RUN DOWN THE CLOCK by using your remaining substitutions !!
