I am not going to go into precise details but someone 'spammed' the message board and everything from Thursday night was lost/deleted and the offender has been subsequently BANNED.
Covering the game was hard work, a lot of message board responses were from fans who couldn't get to see the action. The game was shown live on Chelsea TV and the 2nd leg from the City of Manchester Stadium in two weeks time will be shown on Sky Sports.
Most of those message board words were from City fans who thanked the efforts of this site for providing updates and as much news as was possible.
As for the game itself. In front of a near 12,000 crowd both teams provided terrific entertainment and in the match preview I warned that City's Daniel Sturridge would cause Chelsea problems and he did all night. Sturridge is the nephew of Dean Sturridge and Daniel with his pace and strength, Chelsea's defence couldn't cope with him.
Sturridge put City ahead at the start of the second-half and City's Vladimir Weiss was another City player who will cause Chelsea further problems come the 2nd leg in two weeks.
Chelsea's equaliser came from the head of Gael Kakuta who is a 'star' in the making. The boy is smaller than Chelsea legend Pat Nevin, and he rose as high as Didier Drogba to head past Man City's keeper Hartley from a Chelsea corner.
Final words. If the game had ended 5-5 or 6-6 I don' t think there would have been too many complaints and on the 16th April, this site will LIVE BLOG the game even though Sky Sports will covering the action live from the City of Manchester Stadium.
In the build up to the game and during the game, this site broke all its own records in that we received over 19,000 hits, we got in the top three for the FIRST time and for the month so far we took 10th position - this morning we are 8th
