Basking in the glory of last night's 3-1 win over Levski Sofia and Chelsea being top of Group A with a two-point lead over Barcelona it has been announced that Barcalona's predator striker supreme, Samuel Eto'o may be ruled out of the forthcoming clashes between Chelsea and Barcelona in October.

According to sources, the 'Spitter' aptly named after his shameful spitting episode at The Bridge two years ago when Barcelona lost 3-2 and the tie, has seriously injured his knee and requires immediate surgery.

It seems that Eto'o has damaged the meniscus in his right knee and for those without the benefit of a medical dictionary the meniscus is a plate of cartilage that sits between the bones in the knee.

So with Eto'o possibly out, we could see Eider return to action at The Bridge on October 18th as a starter and not a sub. My tickets for the game arrived yesterday and very posh in their presentation they were too!!

Forget about Eto'o, lets talk about Didier Drogba - The Drog. Supreme again last night as he has been for the last six months. He scored his first Chelsea hat-trick and it was Chelsea's first European hat-trick since Gianluca Vialli scored three against Tromso back in 1997.

Whatever The Drog has taken or done since the days he was vilified by all and sundry for all of his on-pitch antics - I want some. The man is possessed, it is like Chelsea have signed Didier Drogba, a different Didier Drogba and this is his first season at the club and NOT a double Premiership winner.

His hat-trick last night showed three different aspects of the man. 1st goal - a powerful half-volley, 2nd goal - chest control, pace and power before his shot beat the 'unlucky' Sofia goalkeeper Petkov who managed to get a hand on the ball before it crossed the line.

Dids third goal well was just cheeky. An inadvertent back-flick saw the ball slowly cross the line. I am sure Dids tried to play the ball onto 'The Shev' who was waiting to pounce.

Poor old Shev. Can't get a goal for love nor money - all £30m of it - but like Jose, the man has all my time. I can wait, I can wait for as long as I do for a bus and when one comes they will all come together.

COME ON THE SHEV!!

For the record Dids has now three goals in two Champions League games and four Premiership goals in six.

Lets not forget the contribution of Petr Cech. For the last twenty-minutes when Chelsea switched off Cech was brilliant and it was unfortunate that he was beaten two minutes from time, by 18 year old Ognyanov who scored Levski's FIRST ever Champions League goal and didn't the home crowd celebrate.

Cech was deserving of a clean sheet (and so was my dream team LOL LOL).

Bring it on Barcelona and ALL of your tricks, cheats and G14. We are waiting!

COME ON CHELSEA!!
