Arsena Player Ratings as Double Still On After Losing to SvL

By Matt Sadler
July 30 2017

Poor, especially when compared to yesterday, but we still won our own trophy yay (and a trophy double is still on, if we beat Chavs, ha ha Ed). So Arsenal won one game and lost one, but that was too much for Seville who only won two games. Anyhow enough babble and here we go to Matty's ratings:

Cech - 6. Couldn't do much about the goals. Otherwise nothing to do.

Koscielny - 6. Prevented a sure-goal in the first half.
Elneny - 6. Good passing as you'd expect but was at fault for the first goal.
Monreal - 6. Okay.

Bellerin - 5. Pace made him a constant danger but took a lot of heavy touches, and missed our best chance in the first half.
Willock - 5. Some good tackles but too casual in possession.
Ramsey - 6. Good engine and tried to get forward but little impact.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 8. Only Arsenal player worth watching. Bags of pace, power and driving runs. Only criticism would be his final decision at times.

Ozil - 4. Useless.
Lacazette - 6. Some decent link up play in the first half but didn't get too involved. Scored in the second half. Doesn't look fit.
Welbeck - 6. Some good runs. Dangerous on the counter attack. Should've scored at least once (and a brilliant assist for the goal, ha ha. Ed).

Bramall - 5. Good pace but crossing not great.
Xhaka - 5. Kept things ticking over.
Walcott - N/A. Not on long enough.
Iwobi - N/A. Not on long enough.
