It started to look like we might rue missed chances in the first half as West Ham grew into the game in the second half, but we hung on and put the game beyond doubt playing some excellent football in the second half. Good response to the League Cup disaster.
Cech - 6. Didn't have much to do but did it all with minimal fuss, bar one bad kick in the first half. Defence let him down on the West Ham goal.
Gabriel - 7. Took a kicking at times but slotted in well.
Mustafi - 7. Solid defensively and comfortable on the ball.
Koscielny - 8. Top drawer.
Monreal - 7. Overlapped really well at times. Little to do defensively
Xhaka - 7. Needed him to come in and do well today and he did just that.
Coquelin - 7. Fought hard.
Walcott - 3. 3 is probably being generous as I can't think of a single positive thing he contributed.
Ozil - 7. Quietly effective. Scored the opener and put some good balls into the box.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 8. Hard working, lively and direct throughout. Missed a good chance in the first half but made up for it scoring a banger in the second half.
Alexis - 9. Didn't seem his usual self in the first half but was unplayable in the second half. Three goals and an assist. What a player.
Subs:
Ramsey - 6. Did well when he came on. Could've scored twice.
Elneny - N/A. Not on long.
Iwobi - N/A. Not on long.
