The first half was superb. We completely dominated and went in 2-0 up, but honestly it could've been five or six, were it not for a keeper in form and some iffy finishing. The second half was much of the same, though we were unable to add to our goal tally. In the end a comfortable win.
Arsenal are bang in form at the moment. Walcott's renaissance is a joy to watch and his blossoming relationship with Bellerin down the right is destroying sides.
We've been here before though, playing well, so let's just take it one game at a time.
WE MUST NOT LOSE FOCUS!
Ospina - 6. A spectator for most of the game. One good save in the second half, but did nearly make a mess of a corner.
Bellerin - 8. Bombing forward full of confidence and developing a beautiful relationship with Walcott.
Mustafi - 7. Solid whenever called into action, but not troubled defensively.
Koscielny - 7. Ditto Mustafi, love those two.
Monreal - 7. Overlapped well a couple of times and used the ball to good effect. Largely untroubled defensively.
Cazorla - 7. Quietly effective as he kept things ticking over. Good ball over the top to Alexis for Walcott's goal.
Xhaka - 7. Ditto Cazorla.
Walcott - 9. Continues his impressive turnaround with another top performance. Worked hard, linked well, moved well and scored two good goals.
Ozil - 7. Quiet spells but got better as the game wore on. Missed two good chances.
Iwobi - 7. As usual good in possession, bar one sloppy pass, and appears to have acknowledged the need to work defensively.
Alexis - 8. Worked tirelessly, linked up with those around him, bags of skill and two quality assists, but had a poor night in front of goal.
Subs:
Elneny - 5. Slotted into midfield nicely.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 5. Should've got a goal, or at the very least an assist, after rounding the keeper.
Gibbs - 5. Slotted in for Monreal.
