Brilliant Alexis MotM Player Ratings Theo Booed

If only all the games were that easy eh? We basically dominated from start to finish, going 2-0 up after two great goals from the superb Alexis in the first half. We were much better in possession than we have been so far in 2016, moving the ball around quickly and efficiently. The only downside really was that we didn't score more goals. Yes, that was an awful West Brom side, but we've also been awful this year, so I'll allow myself to enjoy this one.

WBA a team with nothing to win and nothing to lose had already packed their bucket and spades, but you can only play what is in front of you, and Arsenal did that well.

Alexis was brilliant, as was Bellerin in the first half. The Ramsey-Elneny pivot worked excellently tonight, though it remains to be seen how well it'd work against a better side. Ozil was good as well, though it isn't happening for him with the assists at the moment.

Ratings:

Cech - 7. Can't recall any notable saves but dealt with a number of corners well. Kicking good as well, especially in the first half.

Bellerin - 8. Superb first half where he burst forward non-stop and caused mayhem for the West Brom defence. Reigned himself somewhat for the second half.
Mertesacker - 7. Solid enough on his return but wasn't really troubled.
Koscielny - 7. Solid but again, largely untroubled.
Monreal - 7. Untroubled defensively, kept things ticking over nicely in possession.

Elneny - 7. Held his position well as the less advanced of our midfield pivot. Good in possession - kept it simple.
Ramsey - 8. Excellent passing, great positioning and tactical discipline, didn't stop running. Two assists. Superb performance.

Alexis - 9. Excellent passing, bags of skill and two superb goals. Brilliant first half in particular. If only we'd had this Alexis playing all season...
Ozil - 7. Lots of very good passing and moving. Ran non-stop, but didn't have any luck in front of goal.
Iwobi - 7. Generally bright and positive but, if I'm being very picky, I've noticed as his confidence is growing he is trying to do more and that has led to some wrong decisions. Understandable given his age. Still a great talent.

Giroud - 5. Rubbish first half, improved somewhat towards the end.

Subs:

Coquelin - 6. Slotted into the midfield well when he came on.
Campbell - 6. Very lively cameo. Heavily involved in the final third.
Walcott - N/A. Did nothing, a small section of crowd booed him as he replaced Ozil
