From New Year Tops To February Flops Player Ratings

All of our title rivals have won today. Just three points from a possible twelve. Failed to score for three league games in a row for the first time since 2009, apparently. There goes the title.

Cech - 8. Faultless throughout in his handling, distribution. Made everything look routine. Only cross he dropped was when he was fouled.

Bellerin - 6. Rubbish first half, improved in the second half but crossing wasn't good enough.
Gabriel - 6. Shaky start but improved defensively as the game went out. Still doesn't look comfortable playing out from the back.
Koscielny - 7. Much, much better than he has been in recent weeks.
Monreal - 7. Solid throughout, played well.

Flamini - 5. Nearly cost us by gifting possession to Southampton at least twice in dangerous areas, and didn't do much defensively either.
Ramsey - 7. Did well. Kept things simple with his passing and didn't bomb forward as much as usual.

Campbell - 6. Poor during the first half, but improved at the start of the second half.
Ozil - 7. Missed two good chances in the first half, otherwise quiet. At his brilliant creative best in the second half, bar one corner.
Alexis - 8. Absolutely superb throughout, but just couldn't get that slice of luck in front of goal. Anything positive we do this season will be largely because of him.

Giroud - 6. Had a quiet first half but was much more involved in the second half as we got a lot more crosses into the box, but like Alexis he didn't get that slice of luck in front of goal.

Subs:

Walcott - 5. Failed to take one really good opportunity, otherwise useless.
Coquelin - 5. Stupid (For reckless and pointless tackle that got a yellow. Editor)
