Player ratings as Arsenal get red as Per usual

I said to myself at half time not to bother doing any ratings, because it was just the usual bullsh*t, but I was really impressed by how the lads responded. As seems to be the case against Chelsea these days, we had a man sent off early, but the truth is the game was lost before then. Mertesacker in a high line against Diego Costa is just suicide. Tactical ineptitude, and it could cost us the title. We went a goal down, but I thought we actually responded really well after that and I'm proud of all the lads who put the effort in.

Cech - 7. Couldn't really have done anything about the goal. Made a number of saves after that, most of which were routine.

Bellerin - 6. Grew into the game and was one of our best attacking threats in the second half.
Mertesacker - N/A. Off after 18 minutes. Not going to knock him too much personally. We all know he is immobile and playing him in a high line was suicide.
Koscielny - 6. Rubbish start but improved with Gabriel alongside him.
Monreal - 6. Should've done more to stop the cross for thee Chelsea goal. Played well other than that.

Flamini - 3. Missed our best chance in the first half, and was rubbish otherwise. Hopefully time for Elneny in the FA Cup next week.
Ramsey - 7. Just awful for the first 20 minutes or so, but grew into the game as he tried to drive us on, and was one of our better players. Created our three best chances in the first half.

Campbell - 4. Missed our best chance right at the start, and wasn't really in the game after the sending off.
Ozil - 6. Tried his best and worked hard despite our disadvantage.
Walcott - 4. He had two excellent opportunities in the first half, and one in the second half, but all three times he was stood offside when he didn't need to be. Didn't do anything other than that. Has to be better.

Giroud - N/A. Off early due to the sending off.

Subs:

Gabriel - 6. I thought he looked sound when he came on. He has a massive chance to cement his place now and, for our sake, he needs to take it.
Alexis - 7. Gave us a big lift when he came on. Glad to have him back.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 6. Tried hard to make something happen.
