Player ratings as Arsenal get 2 points out of 9 Sanchez MotM

A proper chalk and cheese performance. We dominated possession in the first half and looked good going forward, despite not creating too many clear cut chances. Alexis, Ozil and Cazorla were all good, but we always looked pretty fragile at the back and conceded a poor goal. The second half was one of the most appallingly dull and lifeless performances I've seen in recent time. We lacked inspiration and ideas and didn't make their defence work at all.

Our last three Premiership performances against Tottenham, West Brom and Norwich have been downright shocking. We had a really winnable run of fixtures before the Man City game and so far we have picked up 2 points out of a possible 9. That is why we will not win the league.

Overplaying Alexis and Coquelin has cost us big style.

Ratings:
Cech - 6. A couple of good saves but didn't have a great deal to do. One excellent save in the second half.

Bellerin - 5. Okay first half but awful second half.
Mertesacker - 6. Okay.
Koscielny - N/A. Not on long. Hope to god it isn't a bad injury.
Monreal - 6. Good first half, couldn't get forward as much in the second.

Flamini - 6. Not bad to be fair, but not Coquelin.
Cazorla - 6. Good first half, lots of passes but little impact in the second.

Ramsey - 5. Poor, shouldn't have started having only just returned from injury.
Ozil - 6. Very good first half but no impact in the second half.
Alexis - 7. Excellent first half, went off early in the second half. Our season is definitely over if he is out for an extended period of time.

Giroud - 4. No impact on the game at all.

Subs:

Gabriel - 6. Poor first half but settled in the second.
Campbell - 5. No real impact.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 6. Lively and tried to make things happy but to little avail.
