Cazorla or Giroud MotM? Player Ratings

I was at the match but found out later that Sky had made Giroud MotM, but Arsenal Times player rater prefers to make Santi his MotM. I am inclined to agree with him as Giroud began to fade after his second goal. Giroud scored two excellent goals, as did Santi who I felt he was more involved in the build up to the action on a consistent basis. Giroud is also a Jekyll and Hyde charcater, one minute scorng a glorious goal the next minute lying on the floor pretending he is dying. Hence the crowd alternate between na na na na na Giroud (to Hey Jude) quickly followed by shouts of get up you lazy basket. Its quite fun and must be unique for one player to have such a following for its the same people doing both. Anyway enough from me, who was your MotM? Click on Discussion below to give your two penny worth:

Szczesny - 6. He didn't have loads to do, but he did it all comfortably. He made one very good save in the first half. He couldn't have done much about the Newcastle goal.

Bellerin - 8. His best game for us so far by a mile. He played a big part in the first goal and assisted the third. He attacked very well. Only negative is he lost his man for the Newcastle goal and made a very poor attempt at preventing him scoring.

Debuchy - 6. He wasn't overly worked by Newcastle, which surprised me, but did a job for us out of position. Best bit was when stopped Newcastle scoring a second very well by blocking a low cross.

Mertesacker - 6. A much improved after the Stoke game, but he wasn't overly worked by Newcastle. He did one very good turn in the first half which I'm expecting to see a gif of!

Gibbs - 7. Another much improved after the Stoke game. He always made himself available going forward. He would've had an assist, were it not for Lee Mason.

Flamini - 6. He did his job, nothing spectacular.

Oxlade-Chamberlain - 7. Positive and involved throughout. Another good performance in the middle from him.

Alexis - 8. He got two very good assists. He ran himself into the ground, as per usual, and gave the Newcastle players hell throughout.

Cazorla - 9. The birthday boy and my Man of the Match. I thought he was lively, positive and looked to create all game. His goal was taken masterfully, as was his penalty. That was the 2012/13 Cazorla we have been missing.

Welbeck - 7. Fully justified himself starting over Podolski, in my opinion. He was positive, lively and involved throughout the game. He should've had two goals in the first half, but got an assist in the second.

Giroud - 8. A very good performance from the big man. Two very good finishes for his goals and he linked up well with those around him. He worked hard. I bet he wasn't happy at going off before having the chance to get his hat trick though!

Podolski - 6. He didn't do too much, but he came very close with a long range effort late on.
Coquelin - N/A. He wasn't on long enough to make any impact. He did block a Newcastle shot late on.
Maitland-Niles - N/A. He wasn't on long enough to make any impact.

We were very good going forward. Newcastle were very poor throughout, which allowed us to get away with a bodged defence.
