By Jack is the Truth and Boris Mellor
November 30 2014
If you had predicted that Cazorla would be man of the match against West Brom most fans, including this one, would have laughed. True his goal scoring form is yet to return but he created a glorious cross for Welbeck whose bullet head was too hot for Foster to handle. This was a workmanlike performance by Arsenal who usually dislike early morning starts, but for all the possession could only manage one goal, but it's three points and that is all what counts. Also it means that Arsenal have finally beaten a team higher than 14th this season. Arsenal had 17 shots but only five were on target. Jacks edited ratings below.
Martinez 7, looked nervous at times but kept a clean sheet
Chambers 6/10 a few good blocks a few good interceptions a few good moments a few to many ordinary ones
Mert 6.5/10 won some important headers defending set pieces
Kos 8/10 countless important clearnaces, good to have the boss back
Monreal 5.5 never really got going before he injured himself
Flamini 7/10 good discipline covering the full backs and holding down the fort when Ramsey went walk about
Ramsey 3/10 hollywood pirouettes back heels and dives, that had absolutley no effect on anything. selfish is how I would describe him right now
Cazorla 9/10 MOTM. WELCOME BACK MY SON
Welbz 8/10 well taken goal, nice runs, drifted a bit too much to the middle and exposed the full backs a few times but he got his goal from being in the middle so I can't really complain
Sanchez 6.5/10 needs a rest
Giroud 5/10. was about as useful as a choclate teapot
Subs
Gibbs 7/10 defended well and was a great outlet
Ox not really on long enough
