Wenger Proves Merson Wrong Player Ratings

By Eduardo and Boris Mellor
November 9 2014

Yet another abject second half of defending threw away an Arsenal lead. Gibbs had no choice but to give away a free kick, Swansea were being allowed a free run at goal. Unfortunately Szczesny had no chance with the free kick. Sanchez must be tiring of putting Arsenal ahead and then watch them sellf destruct. Welbeck played a good role in the goal but after that it all went pear shaped. All credit to Swansea to coming back so well. So its off to the interlull on a defeat and then an easy home game against Guildford. Anyway Arsenal bore me stiff so enough from me and on to the ratings. I would just add to Eddy's ratings Wenger's rating as 0 out of ten.

Szczesny 5 - think he should have saved the first

Chambers 4 - found it very hard against the speed of Montero
Mertesacker 5 - still off his best
Monreal 5 - managed Bony well enough, awful on the second
Gibbs 5 - gave away the free kick for their opener

Flamini 4 - brings so little to the team
Ramsey 5 - lost the ball trying something fancy for their breakaway that led to their first

Oxlade-Chamberlain 7.5 - 3 of their players booked for fouls on him, our best player today, although his passing was slack at times
Cazorla 5 - buzzed about without doing much
Alexis 6.5 - got our goal, but was less in the game than of late

Welbeck 5.5 - assist, missed great chance in first half, was not great

Subs
Wilshere 4 - spent most of the time complaining to the ref
Walcott n/a - no impact
Sanogog n/a - only on a minute or so
