Arsenal one man band? Player ratings

By Eduardo
November 1 2014

For the second week running Sanchez was MotM, with two more important goals. Afterwards the talk in the pub was all about how wonderful Sanchez is, how he does everything for the team apart from sell programmes at half time, although one fan insisted he had seen him selling programmes during the break. This guy will find a way to score come what may, and he doesnt care how, yet the result is always a thing of beauty. How Eduardo has only rated him 8.5 I will never know, 11.5 would be more just, plus the rest of the team, apart from the Ox, should  all put their wages in a pot and give it to him, as it he was he who earned the win. One man band? Who cares - we have that man again, a man who can stand head held high in the company of Bergkamp, Henry, Pires etc. Eddys ratings follow:

Szczesny 6 - solid, little to do but did it well

Chambers 7.5 - goal and an assist, solid in defence and always willing to get forward
Mertesacker 6 - solid
Monreal 6 - solid
Gibbs 6.5 - solid, got forward well, an assist for Alexis's second

Oxlade-Chamberlain 6.5 - much improved performance
Arteta 6 - ok
Flamini 6 - ok
Cazorla 6 - ok, still not got his shooting boots on

Aleis 8.5 - scored two, could have had several more, lively all game long
Welbeck 6.5 - battled hard, came close to scoring a few times

Subs
Ramsey 6 - ok
Walcott 6 - couple of nice runs
Podolski 6 - unlucky not to score on couple of occasions
