Player ratings v Spurs

By Eduardo
September 27 2014

A strange mix of tikka takka and lobbing the ball up in the air across the  penalty box to a lone Welbeck contrived to see Spurs go ahead. Only then were Arsenal galvanised into action, and got a deserved draw against one of the poorest Spurs sides Arsenal fans have seen in a long time. They proceeded to collapse but Arsenal had left it too late to get a second especially in light of Spurs time wasting. Spurs did have one good chance but fortunately it fell to Adebayor. It was low key in the pub afterwards with most fans not looking forward to Chelsea away next week.

Szczesny 7 - solid, nothing he could do about the goal

Chambers 7 - solid
Mertesacker 6 - troubled a few times by pace
Koscielny 7 - solid
Gibbs 7 - solid and always willing in attack

Arteta 4 - little impact, off injured in first half
Ramsey 4 - poor game, off injured end of first half
Wilshere 6.5 - lost the ball by taking on one too many as usual, but showed good drive and desire to make things happen

Oxlade-Chamberlain 7.5 - extra for the goal, in and out game, but always tried to make things happen
Welbeck 4 - poor game
Ozil 7 - good game, involved a lot

Subs
Flamini 2 - daydreaming to lose the ball for their goal, no impact for us
Cazorla 6.5 - well involved
Alexis 5 - little impact, spent too much time out wide left
