Steve Adams has handed Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock a massive boost ahead of the busy christmas schedule with his return to training after 3 months out with injury.
The former Plymouth Argyle man has been back training with the first team and will feature in the Owls reserves game today with Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough.
Adams told the official Wednesday website: ''I joined in on Thursday and Friday and hopefully i'll play 45 minutes this afternoon. I've been out for 3 months so I need the fitness to get back to my best. It's been very frustrating but it's part and parcel of football. You've just got to get on with it and try and keep your head up and get fit.''
The midfielder hopes to put in a good performance for the reserves and give his boss a selection headache ahead of the steel city derby.
Sturrock now has just 5 players injured from his whole squad, and has the most people on the training pitch since he became manager at Hillsborough. Steve Maclean, David Lucas, Drew Talbot, Lee Bullen, and John Hills are the injured parties.
