Clarets Trust Beer Festival

Clarets Trust, in conjunction with East Lancs. Camra are holding their 4th annual Beer Festival at 1882 Lounge at Turf Moor, Burnley FC on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May 2008. Admission is £2.50 but discounts available. This information and opening times are included within the article.

Friday's opening times are 1pm to 11pm, with the official opening at 6pm by Burnley's Development Director and playing Ledged Paul Fletcher MBE.

On Saturday it will be a 12 noon start until 11pm, with live entertainment in the evening.

There will be hot and cold food served throughout the Festival.

Entry is £2.50, with discounts for Camra and Trust members, by prior notice we will make arrangements for groups of 10 or over.

There will be a selection of over 20 real ales from local and micro breweries, some familiar local brewers such as Grindleton, Moorehouses, Bowland and Moonstone, alongside Breweries new to the East Lancashire area including Prospect (Wigan), Bradfield (Sheffield) and a specially brewed beer for the festival from Oldham's Owl Brewing.

There will also be a selection of Ciders, to give your pallet a refreshing change.

Even if you are a larger drinker, come along and try some of the lighter beers or ciders on offer.
