By TheLongside.co.uk November 19 2007 The Clarets are set to unveil Peter Reid as the new manager tomorrow according to various fans in the know and some late reports ready to be printed in tomorrow's newspapers. The TV pundit who has not been in management since January 2005 is also rumoured to be bringing in Adrian Heath as his assistant manager.
While he may be switching dugouts at Turf Moor since this picture in a friendly against Leeds a few years ago, will the Clarets fans be happy with his appointment. Let us know on our message board.
I must admit, I didn't see that one coming, out of all the names linked he was way down on my list, although he has proved himself with Citeh and Sunderland a few seasons ago, time will tell how he performs for us, but I will give him a chance.
We'll look good hopefully. Not too bothered about beating anyone but it should help it be more believable when its official tomorrow. Bit of banter tomorrow if not but I get the feeling you're spot on.
I have no quarrel with Peter Reid as management chose him in their clairvoyance and sagacity provided he performs .He may have the experience of Premiership but Burnley wth less money are different .
