Thun plan Arsenal shock
By European Football
September 12 2005
Swiss side Thun are hoping size does not matter when they line up to face Arsenal on Wednesday. Thun are tiny (and pronounced to rhyme with toon, in case your wondering) they have an annual budget of just 5.5 million Swiss francs, or to put it another way, about the value of Henry’s left buttock.
But that is not stopping them hoping to pull off one of the great surprises in the history of the Champions league as their captain Andres Gerber told Reuters:

"Nobody said we would be able to get past Dynamo Kiev during the qualifying rounds, so we already know we can surprise people if we play our game perfectly."

"Just saying that sounds arrogant when you're up against a team like Arsenal. But we know we can achieve something if we are really at our best."

It was nothing short of a miracle that this tiny Swiss side qualified for the champions league at all, now who can say if miracles occur more than once in a season.
