Getafe's prized asset Alexis heads to Real for 6M

Alexis Ruano Delgado (born August 4, 1985 in Málaga) has been one of the brightest spots of La Liga this season with respect to young spanish talents. Alexis announced his arrival with the winning goal versus Madrid in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez Stadium. The black eye he gave Madrid still remains and ignited Capello’s huge admiration for this rising star of The Dark Blues. If rumors are to be believed, Real Madrid has reached an in-principle agreement with the defender. Real sports chief Pedja Mijatovic contacted Getafe president Angel Torres yesterday to inform him that an agreement with Alexis over personal terms had been struck and that they were prepared to pay the defender's buy-out clause - £6 million.

These rumors are backed by the fact that Mijatovic dropped a hint by admitting in a local radio program about the club following Alexis very closely. Coming from the horse’s mouth itself, Madrid fans can assume that it’s just a matter of completing the formalities before they see Alexis in the white shirt this summer.
